Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and ABDEL PRIME LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the Mentalis mobile application and the mentalisapp.com website (together, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Use of the app

Mentalis provides general wellness and self-regulation tools — guided pauses, routines, private reflection, progress views, and optional focus protection. You may use the Services only for personal, non-commercial purposes and in compliance with applicable law.

3. Account responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential.
  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@mentalisapp.com.

4. Subscriptions and premium features

Parts of Mentalis are offered under a paid subscription (“Mentalis Premium”), available through the App. Subscriptions are billed and managed by the app store on your device (Google Play, and the App Store once Mentalis launches on iOS):

  • Charges are applied to your app-store account and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your app-store account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region. Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store’s policies.

5. No medical advice

Mentalis provides general wellness and self-regulation tools. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, therapy, clinical care, or emergency medical services. The Services are not a substitute for professional advice. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

6. App availability

We work to keep the Services available and reliable, but they are provided “as is” and “as available”. Features may change, be added, or be removed as the product evolves, and availability may vary by platform and region (for example, during early-access phases).

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Services, except where permitted by law;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to them;
  • Use the Services to violate the law or the rights of others, or to transmit malicious code;
  • Resell or commercially exploit the Services without permission.

8. Intellectual property

The Services — including the Mentalis name, mascot, design, and software — are owned by ABDEL PRIME LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal purposes. Content you create in the App (such as journal entries) remains yours.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ABDEL PRIME LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for claims relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or €50 if you have paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes to the service and these terms

We may update the Services and these Terms over time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date; continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with updated Terms, stop using the Services and, if you wish, request account deletion.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account deletion via our Delete account page. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, with notice where practicable.
